Still in the post-Omaha haze, the guys sit down with FMFC assistant coach and set piece specialist Neil Hlavaty to chat about the 1-1 draw on the road, our likely largely incorrect analysis, and the delicious phenomenon that is Red Beer™. Neil addresses criticism from fans about set piece defending, keeps us guessing on tactics, and reminds us that while the honeymoon may be over, the work this year feels different in a very positive way.
We here at NDZ are cautiously optimistic. And that’s down to most of us seeing this team play in person and even their body language is different than previous seasons. They look like a very determined group with some real talent to boot. Time will tell, but this feels different than the normal optimism bias triggered by a new season with a hard fought draw at a tough place to play.
This is hopefully our last “long form” episode before some format changes, so enjoy the extra discussion with Neil (no game this weekend means more time to listen, right?). Football is back!
